Storybook #1: Kindergarten Shenanigans

As I was scrolling through the storybook titles this one really stuck out to me! The title is very light hearted and brings me back to a time in my life I really enjoyed. Storybook #2: Mermaid Maiden

In doing this assignment I took the approach of choosing storybook titles that sound intriguing. I choose this one because I have always been interested in mermaids. I really like their beauty and uniqueness even though they are not real. The introduction of this storybook was very descriptive and left me wanting to read more of the story. I like the idea that this character Peter seemed like he was going to find comfort in the mermaid. It goes a long with the image I have in my head about how mermaids provide this comfort and creativity for people. (Link to Article)

Storybook #3: A Dog's Road

With this last storybook, I choose it because I love dogs! For me, my dogs have always been an ear I can talk to, someone I can cuddle with, and a loving creature. Like the storybook about the mermaid, this one was very descriptive as well, which allows you to relate to the story. I really like how this story book is about how dogs communicate with other dogs and that they too want to live their own lives just like their owners. It goes a long with that question that I have always wondered, which is can dogs communicate with other dogs just like we communicate with humans. (Link to Article)
