Canvas Calendar I have always been a pretty organized person when it comes to getting assignments finished on time, but sometimes I just forget when they are due. I used the Canvas calendar in combination with my work calendar to keep my life organized. In addition to my phone calendar, I have my planner as well because it helps me organize things. I also set up my notifications on Canvas to email me when I had an assignment due soon just to make sure I was not missing out on anything. My time management for this class was a little bit rocky at some points but I eventually got into the swing of things and it just became a habit to know when assignments were due each week.  Calendar

Canvas Notifications  One of the main benefits of Canvas is that you can setup what type of notifications you want. I have mine set up to get a weekly summary, notifications when my teachers grade something, or when an assignment is posted on my different class pages. I think that this is very helpful because I can be more alert and aware of what is going on in my classes, because after all sometimes we all get caught up and become forgetful. Canvas

Browser Bookmarks Throughout college, I have always used bookmarks because I found it difficult to remember web address for my online books and other resources I have to use for class. Before every semester I always delete the bookmarks off of my bookmarks toolbar and replace them with new ones that I will need to use this semester. I then will name each tab the class that I will use the link for. Other tabs, I have are one fro Canvas, my OU email, and work sites that I need to access. I like keeping tabs on my important websites because it is much less of a hassle than typing in the web address.   Bookmarks

Canvas App After being a student for almost four years the Canvas app is much better than the previous platform that was used, which was called D2L. I really like that I have my grades at the tips of my fingers and I can constantly have access to my assignments and grades because we all know that sometimes we are forgetful and need to check our calendar on the go. My favorite part is the overall organization of the app. With D2L it was really hard to navigate the site because it was not meant to be done on a phone, rather it was only meant to be used on the computer. I think that Canvas for me as a student has made the grades and documents more easily accessible.  Canvas
