(Basilisk)

I choose to read the Fairytale called the "Three Roses" 

• Main Characters: The mom, her three daughters, and the basilisk.  
• The setting of the story: The mother is traveling to the town next to where they live when she stumbles upon a palace. 
• The plot: All the mother was trying to do was travel to the town next to theirs and get her daughters presents. I found it interesting that her third daughter just wanted three roses, yet she forgot about the simplest gift. Even though the daughter was willing to go the castle as a form of payment for the mother taking the roses from the basilisk. Unlike, the normal "beauty and the beast" story we hear this story was based on a basilisk which is a deadly serpent. I probably would have added further to the story, like beauty and the beast I would have preferred to have a better and more in depth ending. Maybe, something a long the lines that the daughter saved the basilisk and made him pure.

My overall thoughts of the fairy tale were that there could have been added information and detail, which I have found to be a pattern with other folktales. I think the detail makes it more believable and relatable. (Link to Article)
